The time of mages was coming close to extinction. There was a few gifted ones though... still some magicians about that tried to continue their legacy. After some time people would begin to forget the magic they once possessed. Only a few believers and mages were left, but not all had the same goal in mind. In this world, in that dimension, society and life were marvelous and full of surprises. Full of beings that the ignorant humans would never know of their existence; like the mages and the faeries, the mummies and the wraiths, all mysteriously shrouded in the dark ages of the past. Some persons though, believed in such creatures. Those humans were hunters. Born to kill the mages in greed to know about their power, they would not share the world with them.

Info. Lord Edison is the younger brother of Maverich and they do not happen to be very close. He is took the path of the royals and became a counselor, who many people respect as if he were a king. Edison is a mage as well, but he opted to be taken by a passive, water beast. The beast inside him never tries to pry free because of its nature and that is a great thing. The bad thing is that the beast does not make Edison a very powerful mage, mostly a defensive one. Edison does not complain though, he is an idealist and a gentle person who loves Saiyo dearly as if she was part of the family. He always speaks to Rashad about the past that haunts Saiyo; They have a better like for each other than Maverich does. This passive mage lives for the love of his life yet there is many obstacles and penalties in getting to her. His 2 apprentices admire him as a person and a mage and he could not help, but to accept them as heirs to the legacy. Edison has enemies though since a few hunters know his reality and how important his position is in influencing people and also his loved ones. He will do anything to involve no one in his challenge.

Info. The mentor and mage who has the most reputation in the mages era and world. Maverich is the only mage who managed to survive after taking in a flesh beast on his own. He had a mentor who he murdered by allowing the flesh beast to take over him. All mages know his story and fear him for doing such acts defying the magician's ruling. He is a noble man, but with a very powerhungry spirit and that is why he decided to live with the curse in exchange of become the greatest. Maverich cares for Saiyo and tries to choose her stepping stones, but he does so out of guilt. This mage has a tainted knot in relation to his apprentice's past. He hides many things from Saiyo, and he dislikes Rashad as a mage choice because he believes that he weakens Saiyo. Maverich never fights the beast when taking control over him since he has given up and become tired with time. Living alone and in a hidden dark area, he hardly ever participates in conversations or even tries to aid others. Once in a while Maverich will go out just to try and create conflicts between his apprentice and her allies.

Info. The one faithful and caring apprentice of Saiyo who does not share the curse that haunts both Maverich and Saiyo. He is a compassionate person even though he is an assassin, but he does the job to get rid of the malicious people in the world. He tends to have a jester side to keep himself with some happiness after his family was murdered. Rashad had 3 sisters and lived with his father who he hated until the very end. This mage has a strong aura for magic since he is able to master most spells quickly for not having a beast. Rashad has no desire to share the curse lineage, but he does want to prevent Saiyo's death; For that, he would take the beast in. He grows certain feelings for his mentor, but his nature keeps him away from thinking any further about Saiyo. Rashad's dark brown hair turns to silver everytime he uses magic, apparently some kind of side-effect for being an unpossessed magic-user. He tries his best to become stronger since his real intentions are to protect his mentor at any cost and to fight the beast out of Saiyo's body.

Info. With little memory of her past she looks up to her mentor for help and caring. She was given the powers of a mighty beast that she does not consider a gift, but rather a curse. Saiyo desires not to continue the mages' rite and therefore will not pass the beast on. Instead, she will teach her apprentice a different way to spell cast. Her curse makes her a murderer and everytime she takes a life she loses a tiny piece of her feelings and her emotional self. She tends to keep Rashad by her side because he seems to be the only one who can help Saiyo's sane state. She is a very powerful sorcerer that appears to be a cold, brutal person making her fearsome mage, but is that really so? Saiyo remains a mystery to most of her enemies, but for Maverich and Rashad she is more than what meets the eye. Towards Rashad she is strict and tends to rely on his laid-back side to keep her beast away. As for Maverich, she adores him and takes him as a father figure acknowledging his same curse. Saiyo is a leader by nature that cares little for the past and just tries to move on to the future to meet her fate.
